What is the History of Applied Behavioral Psychology Lab?

  • The History of Applied Behavioral Psychology Lab is a research laboratory at the University of Central Arkansas that is dedicated to the study of the development and application of behavioral technology during the 20th century. We are particularly interested in the application of operant psychology to in the areas of animal training, treatment of the mentally disabled, and behavior therapy. In addition, a major focus of the lab is the history of psychology in Arkansas.

Lab Mission :

  • Produce high-quality historical research that contributes to knowledge about the expansion of operant psychology into applied areas.

  • Promote increased awareness of the history of psychology in Arkansas.
