Criterion 5: Engagement & Service
As called for by its mission, the organization identifies its constituencies and serves them in ways both value.
Core Component 5a: UCA learns from the constituencies it serves and analyzes its capacity to serve their needs and expectations.
Key Questions
- Who are our constituents – individuals on and off campus; local, national, and global organizations – and how do we engage them?
- To what extent do we evaluate the changing needs of our constituencies? How do we respond to their needs?

Core Component 5b: UCA has the capacity and the commitment to engage with its identified constituencies and communities.
Key Questions
- To what extent do the mission statement and other planning documents support engagement and service to the community?
- What types of resources are available for programs/services for constituencies/community? How adequate are these resources?

Core Component 5c: UCA demonstrates its responsiveness to those constituencies that depend on it for service.
Key Questions
- What kinds of partnerships does UCA have with external constituencies?
- What types of activities engage students, staff, and faculty with the external community?
- To what extent do our faculty, staff, and students participate in the community?
