Undergraduate Transfer

If you are currently attending another university and you want to apply for undergraduate admission to the University of Central Arkansas, you will be considered a transfer student.  All transfer students must submit the following items:

You must submit a letter from your sponsor's bank.  This letter must show your current balance and prove that you have at least $17,800.00 USD to pay for your first year of study.  The letter must be signed and certified by a bank official.  You will be responsible for maintaining this level of support because there is little to no financial assistance available to international students through the university.
If you are transferring to UCA from another university then you must submit official and sealed transcripts for every university or college that you attended before coming to UCA.  This includes both American universities and universities that are located outside of the United States.

You must submit all of your official educational records in both your native language and English.  Copies of documents certified by appropriate school officials are also accepted.  Notarized copies are not accepted as official documents.

To be admitted to UCA you must have the equivalent of a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 on a 4 point scale.

Transfer credit may be considered for every class that you passed with a grade of 'C' or higher.  If you are transferring from a college or university located outside of the United States, and you would like transfer credit for classes that you have already taken, then you must submit a transcript that has been evaluated by a foreign credentials evaluator.  Go to the Helpful Links and Information page to see a list of companies that evaluate foreign credentials.
You must submit an official Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 500 (paper-based test), 173 (computer-based test), or 61 (internet-based test).  We will also accept an IELTS score of 6.0.

You may also submit an official ACT score of 19 or SAT score of 470 on the English portion of the exams.  This will exempt you from having to take the TOEFL.

If you are a transfer student from a U.S. college or university, then you may be exempt from the TOEFL.  To be exempt you must have taken an English Composition I or II class, and you must have made a final grade of 'C' or higher in the class.
