Post-Baccalaureate

If you have completed and undergraduate Bachelor's degree at a university and you want to come to UCA to take more undergraduate classes, then you will be classified as a Post-Baccalaureate.  You will also be classified as a Post-Baccalaureate if you have applied to a graduate program, but you must first complete some undergraduate prerequisite classes.  If you are a Post-Baccalaureate student and you are applying for admission, you must submit the following items:

You must submit a letter from your sponsor's bank.  This letter must show your current balance and prove that you have at least $17,800.00 USD to pay for your first year of study.  The letter must be signed and certified by a bank official.  You will be responsible for maintaining this level of support because there is little to no financial assistance available to international students through the university.
You must have the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning.

You must submit all of your official educational records in both your native language and English.  Copies of documents certified by appropriate school officials are also accepted.  Notarized copies are not accepted as official documents.

To be admitted to UCA you must have the equivalent of a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 on a 4 point scale.

Transfer credit may be considered for every class that you passed with a grade of 'C' or higher.  If you are transferring credits from a college or university located outside of the United States, then you must submit a transcript that has been evaluated by a foreign credentials evaluator.  Go to the Helpful Links and Information page to see a list of companies that evaluate foreign credentials.

You must submit an official Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 500 (paper-based test), 173 (computer-based test), or 61 (internet-based test).  We will also accept an IELTS score of 6.0.

You may also submit an official ACT score of 19 or SAT score of 470 on the English portion of the exams.  This will exempt you from having to take the TOEFL.

If you received your bachelor's degree from a U.S. college or university then you will not be required to submit a TOEFL score.
