Graduate (Masters & Doctorate)

If you are applying for graduate admission consideration, then you must submit the items listed below.  You will also be required to submit official test results of the required standardized admissions tests, such as the GRE, GMAT, or AHPAT.

You will submit all of your admission documents to the UCA Division of International Affairs.  Once all documents are received then your file will be sent to the Graduate School.  The department to which you are applying will make the final admission decision.  We will not issue any immigration documentation until we receive the admission decision from the department.  This process can take two to three weeks, so please make your plans accordingly and turn in your admission documents as soon as possible.  Please be aware that there is no conditional admission to any graduate level program.

It is recommended that you contact your individual department or visit your department's UCA website concerning specific additional admission requirements and mandatory application deadlines.

You must submit a letter from your sponsor's bank.  This letter must show your current balance and prove that you have at least $14,800.00 USD to pay for your first year of study.  The letter must be signed and certified by a bank official.  You will be responsible for maintaining this level of support because there is little to no financial assistance available to international students through the university.
You must have the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning.

You must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.70

If you are applying for graduate admission and you received a bachelor's degree from a U.S. college or university, then you must submit the transcripts from all colleges and universities that you attended as an undergraduate.

If you are applying for graduate admission and you earned an undergraduate degree from a university that is located outside the U.S., then you must submit a transcript that has been evaluated by a foreign credentials evaluator.  Go to the Helpful Links and Information page to see a list of companies that evaluate foreign credentials.
You must submit an official Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 550 (paper-based test), 213 (computer-based test), or 80 (internet-based test).  We will also accept an IELTS score of 6.5.

If you received your bachelor's degree from a U.S. college or university then you will not be required to submit a TOEFL score.
Most graduate level programs require you to take the GRE.  You must contact your department to see if they require a specific score on the test.

MBA students must take the GMAT and score a 500 or higher to be admitted to the MBA program.
